Room Air Purifier

i already have an air purifier for my room but im not sure if it circulates the air in my room or just takes away certain things in the air or if it actually works!!!i was thinking of buying a humidifier but im not sure how it works cause i really want something that can circulate the air in my room,take out certain things in the air and help my baby if hes sick i dont no if vick humidifier do that!!can someone help me i need to know the difference between these things( air purifier, humidifier,vick humidifier) i just want the best for my baby!!

I am looking for the ones with the basin of water that swishes around the bowl, they were advertised a few years ago but now cannot remember what they are called. They also have essential oils that you can add to the water to make the room smell better too.

Best air purifier from sears?
i mainly just need one for my bedroom, that would help with the removal of germs,dust. i like the smell of the ozone ones too. but i do not know much about air purifiers so if you could help me decide from http://www.sears.com i would appreciate it.
also to get rid of mildew,fungus,yeast and just pollution in general, along with animal scents

I am trying to set up my nursery, which will be a small bedroom. There is not a lot of room to have it all. Which product is the most needed, dehumidifier, humidifier or mister, or an air purifier?

i have terrible allergies and i am always sick. i was thinking about getting an air purifier or a humidifier but im not sure which would be best for me. i have a lot of major electronics in my room and im not sure if the humidifier would interfere with them. also, if i get an air purifier i would like it to be one that you clean the filter because i cant afford to keep buying replacements. does it sacrifice quality to get one with a re-usable filter??

which one would you recommend?
have any other suggestions on what else i could do??

I live in a condominium in the middle of the city where the pollution is bad.
Should I buy a good air purifier/clear or should I buy a new air conditioner?
I need either of them turned on the whole day to really keep the dust and pollution under control.
The room is always closed but the dust and pollution finds its way inside.
I need to consider the electric bill… cant afford it to be too expensive.

My husband wants to get an air purifier for our townhome because it is so dusty. We have to dust every other day sometimes. I have never lived anywhere that has had so much dust. I am wondering, do air purifiers really eliminate a significant amount of dust on things (i.e. your TV and other electronics, collectibles and knick knacky things)? Are they noisy? Can you put them in a corner of a room or do they need to be more in a central location? Does it cost a lot to run it? Will my electric bill go up significantly? Do you run the thing every day, all day long? Any recommendations on better ones? We’re looking to spend about 0-150. We’ll need one for a large room.
I just wanted to add that as soon as we moved into this particular home we noticed the major dust. We have the same people living here as before. Home the same amount etc. I think it has more to do with the place than us when it comes to dust.

So I’ve decided I want to get a conure parrot.
But then I read, pretty much every bird will die from cigarette smoke, candles, air fresheners, and teflon and non stick pans.
My mom smokes, loves candles, I use air fresheners basically everywhere, and my mom cooks with non stick pans.
Well, when you walk into my house, theres a front hallway and a family room, and a bathroom, and a door going to the basement. Theres a small staircase going to the living room, that floor has obviously the living room, the kitchen, the dining room. Theres another set of stairs (8 steps) going to a hallway with doors going to different rooms. Bathroom, brother’s room, my room, and master room.
My mom stays in the living room when shes home at ALL times. She never goes upstairs ever.
I was wondering since this is my bird, I will leave it in my room. My room is over the garage. I was also wondering, since I always have my door closed anyways to keep the cats out, could I also get an air purifier to put in there so that no fumes could reach my new bird?

Okk..My mom says my snake cage smells to much. I change it out about once a week and clean up its leavings when needed. Now I dont know what the smell is. I personally dont smell anything but she says she does. I cant conivnce her otherwise. Last Thanksgiving, I went to my aunt’s house and since she has a cat, I got an allergic reaction. I made sure to wash the stuff I came into contact with (my purse-bag thingy) and I left it in the computer room.

Two days later, there might be some remnants of cat dander in my computer room and it’s making my nose twitch.

I need to know if there’s a spray that helps eliminate airborne allergens because I don’t feel like buying a 0 air purifier just to get rid of leftover cat dander.

i have asthma and was told that a HEPA air filter would help a lot, especially since i keep two parakeets in my room and they can cause dander. so, i wanted to know how much they cost and is an air purifier the same thing? I saw air purifiers at walmart and some said that they produce hot air and other said that they produce cool air? which should i get? hot or cold? thanks!

I live in an apartment in the city, facing a highway, therefore I never open my balcony door during the day because of the air pollution coming from outside. I only ventilate my room after 10:00 PM when traffic is relatively low.

My problem is that during the day, my room starts to smell since I’m in it most of the time (I don’t live alone). I’m also afraid that I might start developing some kind of allergy because the dust builds up so fast. So are there any artificial ways to ventilate my room without having to expose it to the city air?

I haven’t looked into air purifiers, I was wondering if anyone had an idea about those.

Can anyone tell me if this is an ozone free ionizer or if I’m poisoning myself with harmful ozone. I’m going to contact the seller but don’t know if I can trust their info. I’m using this in a really small room and I have asthma and I’m worried as although the air is fresher and my is asthma better the past couple of days I’ve used it I’ve had blood in one nostril and just tonight a bit of a headache. I’m 28 an have been living in this house for most of my life. I moved out to live with boyfriends and what not, but for the most part have lived here. My uncle (who chain smokes) and my grandfather (who smokes cigars) has lived here the whole time I’ve been here, and before my mom and grandmother passed away they also smoked and lived here. Needless to say I’ve always got my fair share of 2nd hand smoke. I’m starting to get a cough now that I never had before, and I am wondering what is a good air filter for smoke? I have TWO air purifiers in my room that I have to constantly clean, of course one is old and the other is the ionic pro but with the smoke in this house it gets dirty SO fast I have to clean it every week.
I even have a filter type material double layered over my air vent but mostly that just keeps out dust, doesn’t work too well on smoke ;(
